Celebrating the New Goway

We’ve got reason to celebrate around here. Not only has our rebrand been a smashing success, but we’ve received so much positive feedback from travellers, travel advisors, and industry partners over the past few months. We’ve been over the moon and were in the mood to celebrate, so we did just that!

This past Thursday, October 3, we held a star-studded event at the TIFF Lightbox in Toronto to celebrate the New Goway. We invited over 100 of the travel industy’s finest, including representatives from airlines, tourism boards, and travel media outlets, to join us for the occasion. The event was light on presentations (our senior leadership team made a few remarks) and heavy on connection. There was a creative menu and drinks reflecting our global passions and some exceptional entertainment provided by DJ/Saxophone combo, Red Soda, and Toronto watercolour artist Emily Bransfield. We all made dozens of new connections that evening and left feeling enthusiastic about where we are headed as a company and an industry as a whole.

More Celebrations to Come

If you weren’t at the TIFF Lightbox on Thursday night, don’t worry. We’ve got plenty more to celebrate and many more events you can take part in in the coming months.

First up is our Africa & Middle East Gathering 2024. This industry-leading event gathers travel advisors with over 25 suppliers from destinations across Africa and the Middle East. Travel advisors can network with crucial contacts, learn selling tips and insider knowledge at panel presentations, and gain access to exclusive prizes. There are free live events in Toronto (October 28) and Atlanta (October 31).

Entering our 55th Year

Next year marks our 55th Anniversary! Because we missed out on the chance to celebrate our 50th Anniversary in 2020 (lousy pandemic!), we’re pulling out all the stops next year. Our celebrations will include road shows across the United States and Canada, and 5 free FAMs to 5 different destinations. We’ll also be hosting the inaugural Goway Micro Film Festival in LA and Toronto, which will feature 55-second videos from travellers all around the world.
