Goway Idyllic Islands’ Top 3 Tips for Booking the Maldives
One of the world’s most beautiful island destinations, the Maldives is like a string of pearls dotting the Indian Ocean. The Maldives is made up of 1,190 islands and have over 120 private island resorts to choose from, offering a wide range of accommodation options for every traveller’s needs and budgets. It can become a bit overwhelming with so much to choose from so Goway’s team of Idyllic Islands experts are here to assist you in planning the perfect vacation for your client
Here are Goway’s top three tips to help you create the perfect Maldives getaway:
Add On a Stopover
Island hopping isn’t common in the Maldives, so our first tip is to combine your client’s stay in the Maldives with another destination en route, which also helps to break up the longer journey from North America. Goway suggests you add a stopover in a transit gateway, such as those we offer in our Dubai and Maldives Vacation or Romantic Paris and Maldives including airfare. These trips give your client the best of both worlds, combining a city and beach stay. Breaking the trip up is also a great way to maximize your client’s budget, getting the most bang for their buck, as most airlines allow a stopover in one direction for free.
Pre-Purchase Meals
Most resorts in the Maldives offer meal plans, which we highly recommend pre-purchasing. They come as half board (breakfast and dinner) or full board (all meals). Many also offer all-inclusive packages, and your clients can purchase this upgrade at the time of reservation paying in their local currency, making the trip hassle-free. It’s always a better value to pre-purchase a meal plan as there are additional taxes travellers are subject to in-destination. Some resorts offer promotions that include a complimentary upgrade to different meal plans.
Take Advantage of Seasonal Promos
Seasonal promotions are the best way to get the most out of your client’s money. Travelling in low season can offer some great savings from free nights to discounts for travellers staying longer in destination. To get the best specials, you’ll need to arrange travel for between May and September; it’s important to know this is the Maldives’ wet and humid season, so your clients should expect some rain. This time of the year is still a great time to visit as downpours are usually short and even help to clear the humidity. Make sure to advise your Idyllic Islands expert if your clients are celebrating any special occasion, such as an anniversary, birthday, or honeymoon, as we can arrange exclusive amenities on their behalf or take advantage of some additional discounts available at most resorts for honeymoons and anniversaries.
Creating the perfect escape to paradise is just one of the many services available to you and your clients when booking with Goway. Our team of dedicated Idyllic Islands experts have first-hand experience in arranging tailor-made honeymoons and romantic or adventurous escapes.
