InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa Opens 10 New Pool Overwater Villas and 4 Brando Suites
The eco-friendly InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa is a 5-star property with spectacular views of the main island of Bora Bora and the majestic Mount Otemanu. Guests staying at this award-winning resort can enjoy its overwater villas, lush tropical vegetation, and a wide range of activities on land and water.
While French Polynesia celebrates 50 years since the first overwater bungalow in 2017, the InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa celebrated by opening five new Pool Overwater Villas and five Pool Premium Overwater Villas on 01 July 2017. As the name suggests, these Overwater Villas include a private outdoor pool on the deck of the overwater bungalow. Adjacent to the pool is a spacious terrace and sundeck, with sun lounges with direct access into the lagoon.
With a modern, luxurious feel, these spacious units are 1345sq ft. and feature a sleek, contemporary décor with traditional Polynesian design touches. Each villa has a spacious living room with a glass coffee table also known as a “Tahitian television” that look down onto the pristine waters and tropical fish below. The bedroom, with a plush king-size bed overlooks the private outdoor pool. The bathroom features a separate shower and bathtub, and complimentary range of luxury bath amenities.
InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa will also add four Prestige 1 & 2-Bedroom Overwater Brando Pool Suites, set to open in December 2017, just in time for the holiday season. This room category features 3,400 square feet of indoor/outdoor living space and 180-degree views of Mount Otemanu. It will be the perfect complement to its sister property, the Brando.
Noteworthy facilities at the property include the Deep Ocean Spa by Algotherm, the first spa in French Polynesia to highlight the therapeutic benefits of sea water from the depths. Enjoying from international cuisine and local delicacies, guests can choose from a variety of elegant or casual dining options, each offering a different atmosphere to enjoy.
