New Air Routes Make It Easier to Connect to Australia & New Zealand
There have been some exciting developments in the world of travel regarding Australia and New Zealand. These include the introduction of some new air routes that will make it easier than ever for your clients to connect to these nations. Furthermore, the strength of the American and Canadian dollars has made it more affordable than ever to travel Downunder. It’s a great time to plan trips to Australia and New Zealand. Here’s what you and your clients need to know.
United Airlines has a new direct flight from San Francisco to Brisbane
United made a little history last week when they became the first American airline to fly non-stop from the mainland United States to the state of Queensland, Australia. The new flight from San Francisco (SFO) to Brisbane (BNE) runs three times a week on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. Return flights will operate the same day. The route will use United’s fleet of new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, so you can be assured of your clients’ comfort and the latest in-flight services on board.
Air New Zealand is restarting their direct flights from Chicago to Auckland
Air New Zealand is rebooting some of their own direct flights between the mainland United States and New Zealand. Their non-stop service from Chicago (ORD) to Auckland (AKL) restarted at the end of October and will operate three times a week aboard Air New Zealand’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. The flights will also feature Air New Zealand’s brand-new in-flight menu, which showcases local New Zealand foods for international customers.
The American and Canadian Dollars are near all-time highs compared to the Australian Dollar
It’s never been a better time for Americans and Canadians to shop in Australian dollars. The currency exchange rates are nearing all-time highs. As of this writing, $1 US equals roughly $1.57 AU and $1 CA equals $1.15 AU. That means that everything from accommodations to eating out to shopping to local tours are more affordable. Your clients should take advantage of the favourable exchange rates and lock in their travel plans.
