New Guided Group Tour: Rediscover Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe is back on the tourism map and travellers are keen to explore South Africa’s greatest hidden treasure.

What’s to see in Zimbabwe? Let’s start with the 900-year-old Great Zimbabwe ruins, rumoured to be the capital of the legendary Queen of Sheba. Abundant wildlife viewing opportunities await travellers in Hwange National Park, home to one of the world’s highest elephant populations, and Matobo National Parks, where rhino can be tracked on foot. Matobo also happens to be the final resting place of industrialist Cecil John Rhodes. In the capital city, Harare, enjoy the sumptuous treats of High Tea and a guided wine-tasting. These are just some of the treasures awaiting rediscovery in Zimbabwe.

Goway Africa is delighted to announce the launch of a new guided group tour through this incredible country. This 13-day lodge safari travels from Victoria Falls to Harare and provides a well-balanced combination of history and wildlife, beautiful landscapes, and water-based activities along the way.

Besides the highlights mentioned above, guests travel to Lake Kariba. The world’s largest man-made lake provides a whole host of water-based or water-adjacent activities such as sunset cruises, fishing, beachside BBQs and guided wildlife walks. Guests spend two days here, enjoying the full selection of activities on offer. Of course, the trip doesn’t omit Zimbabwe’s biggest attraction, Victoria Falls, where the majestic ‘Smoke That Thunders,’ offers a wonderful introduction this enthralling country.
