Goway Celebrates “The New Goway” with Glamorous Industry Event
Toronto, October 4, 2024: Goway, North America’s leader in tailor-made travel, celebrated its recent innovation and rebrand with a star-studded travel industry event in Toronto on Thursday, October 3, 2024.
Goway’s leadership team was joined by over 100 of the industry’s finest to celebrate “The New Goway.” Held on the rooftop of the TIFF Lightbox, home to North America’s largest film festival, and in full view of the iconic CN Tower, the event showcased Toronto’s global culture and Goway’s passion for diverse international experiences. Guests enjoyed a custom menu from Oliver & Bonacini, which featured international flavours to reflect Goway’s global footprint. These included custom deserts from Isabella’s Donuts, a local Chinese Canadian bakery, wines from Australia and South Africa, in honour of Goway Founder & President Bruce Hodge (an Aussie) and his wife Claire Hodge (a South African), and a signature cocktail, The Aussie Terra, named for Goway’s signature brand colour.
Guests enjoyed entertainment by the DJ/Saxophone combo, Red Soda, and had their watercolour portraits painted live by Toronto artist Emily Bransfield. Goway’s senior leadership team, including Bruce Hodge, Craig Canvin (Senior Vice President), Bronwyn Hodge (VP Communications & Corporate Affairs), Mitchell Fawcett (VP Marketing), Shirley Rourke (VP Goway GroupsOnly), Anthony Saba (VP South Pacific), and Renee Stanton-Defaria (Director of Sales) were on hand to offer remarks and host their industry partners. The event was also the first public introduction of Sean Hebert, Goway’s new VP The Americas.

The event culminated the years-long process of launching the New Goway and all the industry, sales, and marketing innovations that the company has undergone over the recent year. “The New Goway is here,” says Mitchell Fawcett, VP Marketing at Goway. “We’re so proud of this new chapter and all the innovation that has led to it.”
The New Goway has seen wholesale changes across Goway’s entire infrastructure and exciting developments that have invigorated the staff and promise greater efficiency and innovation in the future. These include:

- New reservations system and technology
- Growing team across multiple countries
- Enhanced rewards program and incentives for travel advisors
- Expanded trade education program, including GowayPro Travel Academy and GowayPro Travel Tales podcast
- Product innovation, including Odysseys by Goway, new trips to The Nordics, India, and Vietnam, and upcoming wellness product line
- Expansion of Goway GroupsOnly, with team doubling in size and 600 groups travelling this year alone
The event also teased Goway’s 55th Anniversary in 2025, which will feature even more innovations and exciting events year-round. These include:
- New portal for travel advisors
- Roadshows across the United States and Canada
- 5 free FAMs to 5 different destinations
- The Goway Micro Film Festival, featuring 55-second travel videos from travellers from around the world, which will be screened in competition in events in Toronto and Los Angeles
