Goway & Air New Zealand Celebrate Partnership Despite Rainout of Annual Cricket Match
TORONTO, ON – Goway and Air New Zealand, along with the support of Tourism New Zealand, celebrated their renewed partnership Tuesday night despite the rainout of their annual cricket match. The occasion marked the first in-person celebration between these two industry partners since 2019, as the event was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. Had the event gone ahead in 2020, it would’ve been a key part of Goway’s celebrations for its 50th Anniversary that year.
While the rain cancelled the on-field match, the party continued inside the Toronto Cricket & Curling Club. Goway and Air New Zealand have held their annual cricket match for two decades as a sign of their partnership and Goway’s commitment to showcasing all things New Zealand, including a love of cricket. This year’s celebration was especially significant as it signalled a return to normal for the two businesses, with Goway and Air New Zealand once again taking travellers downunder to New Zealand, Australia, and other incredible nations of the South Pacific.
“At Goway, we pride ourselves on being North America’s top supplier to the South Pacific, which includes New Zealand,” says Anthony Saba, Vice President of South Pacific at Goway. “Our partnership with Air New Zealand has been integral to our ability to help globetrotters make unforgettable travel memories Downunder, so we’re thrilled that we could once again celebrate our partnership this year. While it’s too bad that the match itself was rained out, we dearly missed the event over the past two years. So this year was still extra special to get together in person and celebrate a love of New Zealand and all things South Pacific.”
Goway currently offers over 300 tailor-made travel packages to Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific, many of which include international airfare with Air New Zealand. For more information about Goway’s travel offerings to Downunder, visit goway.com or contact Anthony Saba.
